Always ensure that all passengers with you know what to do incase of a emergency, especially children.

If you are on a boat be careful in or around reeds there may be dangerous hidden obstructions or mudbanks and you may get stuck, always aim to allow about a boats width from the bank.

Know the location and use of all safety equipment onboard your vessel and if a hire vessel, ask for further details before you take the vessel out.
